I have a nissan micra 1996 on an N plate with 92.000 mikes in very condition just had an M.O.T with no problems do you think this car would be ok for the 2009 rally

 As we may have mentioned on the site, we will not put up vehicle rules for 2009, until we have met with the Ministry of Finance in Mongolia to decide the bench mark. However the car you decide is likely to fall below this level. The Mongolian Government is likely to charge import tax on every vehicle next year, and to give you an example, for a Micra of 2006 vintage, it will cost $2000, which means CDPF would have to pay this fee, before they sold the vehicle.

If the vehicle is under 10 years old, then the charge is less, so under a rule that vehicles are under 10 years old is a possibility. However until we are out there we can not say.

The rules will be on the website as soon as they are agreed.
